Customer Needs Assitance in Aisle Crazy

I'm in the middle of the store...OK, Target...I was in Target again, alright!!
Ahem...sorry...

I'm waiting on a prescription, the babies still have a colds, I'm laughing at some hilarious texts from one of my favorite girlfriends, and when we left the house this morning, it looked like I had shoved every single piece of clothing we have into the washer - and then it exploded...all over the front room...and I really mean that, the news should be called.

Anyway, I'm prying boxes of medicine out of my 3yr olds hands when my phone rings - it's the realtor.

Realtor: Hi! The Appraiser is in your neighborhood, and wants to know if he can just stop by real quick and do the appraisal.

Me: What?! I'm not even home, and seriously, the house is not fit for company. And the laundry...oh my word, there is an insane amount of clothes on the couch. Can't he do it tomorrow - not that I'll have it cleaned by tomorrow. But seriously, I have 5 small children - people can't just stop by...these things need to be scheduled!

Realtor: Oh don't worry, he won't be looking at that kind of stuff...just the structure, etc.

Me: Well I promise you he will indeed be looking at that kind of stuff, wondering how one family could acquire that much laundry. Let me call my husband.

While explaining to Eric, my other line rings - it's the realtor again.

Realtor: Ummm, the Appraiser is in your home, and your house alarm is going off.

Me: He's there? I don't know what to tell you, I am in the middle of a store with 4 of my girls and I can't come home. This should have been scheduled & I could've been prepared! Then he wouldn't be in the middle of our little house wondering what he should do about the alarm. Our code is *****.

My other line rings again...

Me: Hello?

Lady: Ma'am this is Security System, we are calling to let you know your alarm is going off, and emergency crews have been dispatched - help is on the way.

Me: Emergency crews?? Hmmm, well, let me know what you find!

(Girls, put the medicine down!! Do not touch! On second thought, give me the pain killers, mommy feels a headache coming on...)

Maybe next time they will schedule the appointment - they don't expect to come into this house and have a relaxing, uneventful time, do they??!

So not only did the Appraiser get a look at the laundry madness, so did some of our local emergency crews I guess. Sigh...

I felt like pushing one of those Customer Service buttons and asking them to help me find my sanity.

Oh well, it's a crazy life. And with these little sweeties, there is never a dull moment :)!

Which is good - I actually prefer crazy over dull :).

Hope you all are having a great week! We have a lot sickness going around where we live - Are you all staying healthy??

Oh my ... I remember those days well, from our last move, and believe we'll have more of them coming along shortly.

We have an appointment tomorrow with a group of realtors ... "sometime between 10:30-11:30, maybe". Which means that I need to find someplace to go with 7 of my children from 10:00 - 12:30, or possibly later, if the realtors are running late.

Hmmm??? Maybe Target is where we'll end up. :)

Hoping for some sunshine so that I can take them to a park. If not ... the mall it will be. We don't have any friends that I can just stop by with 7 of the kids ...

this made me giggle! you have such a great attitude..hopefully the appraiser (and realtor for that matter) learned their lessons.AND, don't feel bad...if I lived in the US, I'd probably be at Target several times a week :)

Yikes! Yes, life with many small children means there is no such things as just dropping by anymore- why don't people get that?

AAAAAH! That's what I wouldv'e done. Just screamed :) Because though we all know the appraiser and realtor and emergency crews have houses and families and laundry, it never seems to make a difference. OUR mess is the WORST mess. Go figure ;)

Wow, although at the time I know it was not funny by any means, but reading it I can picture it all and I laughed, a good laugh. I'm sorry, when we have days like this it helps us to appreciate those very few days when things are ok, who am I kidding....LOL Great blog!

That totally sounds like my life! It's Twinsanity! That's what I always call it. And the alarm thing? We had that happen once too! So funny now, but not at the time of course! Hope the rest of your week is less... eventful. :)

Thanks for the laugh I needed that this week. The appraiser did get what he deserved he should have scheduled. Have a good rest of the week.

I just LOVE you!!! I'm laughing and crying.....

I wish I could spend a day just chatting with you and Heather ....what a great time we would have! (And I'm pretty sure at least one alarm would go off during that time - one of my boys decided to use the emergency exit at the fabric store the other day while I was out with four of them by myself....ahhhh....isn't it the life?)

Hope tomorrow is a better day....I'll be thinking of you as I attempt to fold my own 12 loads of laundry!

Oh, no... NOT cool!! I know a bit about what you're going through, with our house being on the market now, but thankfully we've had at minimum a day's notice for showings. Nice that the appraiser just let himself in... *rolleyes* At least you were in Target, lol! My happy place... ;)

So glad you stopped by my blog! I'm really enjoying your blog and precious family! Your girls are 100% adorable!!! You have a new follower! :)

Blessings, Kate
