Lady: Wow, are all these little kids yours?? How old are you?!
Me: Ha, yes, all mine...and, old enough.
Lady: Geez, haven't you guys figured out what causes this?
Me: No actually...we are still researching that. Enlighten me, please.
Aaannyyway...

I know you all are just dying to know what chocolate pretzels I was referring to the other day. Right? No? Well, I'm still going to tell you...
Here they are, in all their glory.
They are Chocolate. They are Pretzels. They are slim.
Oh, but let me warn you. There is nothing slim about eating the whole bag.
But that doesn't stop me.
Be prepared, angels might start singing...
Well...you know, in the food section of my life, that is.

Also, I have a burning question that begs to be answered...
Do you Twitter?
I set up an account a while ago, but have never committed to it. But lately, I am thinking about giving it a go. It looks like fun :). Sooo...will you share? Do you Twitter??

Have you tried Wetzels? You can get them at DLM or Winan's coffee shop. The dark chocolate ones are my favorite! Yum!
No Twittering here. I leave that to Ralph. :)
I got a comment similar to that in an elevator once. 'Are they ALL yours?" ~ seriously it's only 4 kids {I could handle 5 or 6, hubby just won't give in ~ grin}.
No, I don't twitter. I don't think I could fit it into my day ~ I facebook.
I facebook with my twin mummies....I got a twitter account but we don't get free text messaging here so I need to watch that!
I had to do ivf to have my children with my second husband...the last four of our bunch...can you imagine what people say to us. They give up now with a shrug and a laugh...and probably walk away thinking "thank goodness it's them not me!"...how many times have you heard THAT one?? :):)
Don't you just wish some people had more of a filter on their words?! I know we don't have 5 kids, but it amazes me the things people say about us having 2 bio and 1 adopted...."Oh, so these two are your own and he's adopted?", "do you love him as much as your own?" etc, etc. Drives me crazy. But, comes with the territory I guess. Hang in there...you handle it very graciously. And, I am off to get some of those pretzels when we get home from vacation! Oh, and twittering, you know I am stumped by the whole thing....
Jenny
Love your reply to that ladies rude comment.
I am ALWAYS asked how old I am or told I am not old enough...and, as you, I ALWAYS say, "Infact, I AM old enough!' =)
as far as twittering...well, I "do" meaning I have an account but stopped doing it b.c I felt like I was just talking to space...like no interaction with anyone and it felt wierd and like why in the world did SPACE care what I was saying or doing? =) haha
oh, and...when people ask if they are ALL mine, I always want to say...
Are you kidding me? Why in the WORLD would I offer to take on MORE kids when I am out and about. If I am doing ERRANDS and GROCERY shopping with them, you better BET they are mine! Like I want to make the trip harder and longer by ADDING kids to my cart =)
I get the same comments with my gaggle....and we both know that I'm older than you! ;)
Twitter is the bomb. DO IT! lol
Have a great night....and go to bed before midnight!
k
Thanks all! You ladies are so funny...and peoples comments amaze me!!
oh my goodness... I can't even count how many times I've been asked if they're all mine. Do people really think we'd drag that many small children to the grocery store if they were all ours?! :)
I always laugh when people ask if we know what causes that. And then I say "Yes, and we're really, REALLY good at it!"
When I had 5 kids under 5 y.o. ...
lady on elevator: Are these kids all yours?
me: Yes
lady: I sure as ____ would have had him fixed by now.
me (praying elevator door will open quickly): completely speechless
I absolutely hate the word "fixed", so I later came up with a great response, and I have used it.
"Fixed? No need for fixing, everything is working quite well."
mama of 13
Oh ... another memory ...
I love it when I am out shopping with "only" 6 or 7 of my kids and people ask,
"Are they all yours?"
"Well, yes these are mine; but they are only 1/2 of mine. I have another 6 or 7 at home."
:) :) :)
