I love being pregnant.
But you guys...
I'm so tired.
I mean, exhausted!
It's a fatigue like I've never felt.
This pregnancy has been SO different than any other.
The sweet little babe is kicking my tail!
It's surely a boy :). (although we'd love another savvy!)
I always want to sit down.
I love sitting down.
It's my favorite past time.
The bladder calls almost every night around 3am, and I just can't get back to sleep.
Isn't 14 weeks a little early for this to be starting??
Suggestions??
Meds??
Sleep remedies??

I Remember When I Thought I Was Tired...

take 1/2 a unisom... or generic sleeping pill. They are little blue pill with a perferation perfect for slicing it in half. :-) My ob recommended... seems weird but it helped me go right back to sleep once getting up to use the ladies room. Good luck!
Oh how I know exactly how you feel! I'm 34 weeks along, but I remember feeling exactly the same way you do at 14 weeks. Sitting, lying down, sleeping...all my favorite things to do. Still are, actually. The fatigue was really overwhelming. This pregnancy was SO different from my first, and I'm having ANOTHER boy! I thought for sure it was a girl because it was such a night-and-day difference from my first pregnancy. Anywho, so excited for your pregnancy and hoping that this passes quickly for you!
And I so didn't leave you any advice whatsoever, but you are a PRO at this whole pregnancy/mom thing. I don't think I could offer you anything you don't already know. But I may have some questions for YOU once this baby arrives and I've got two children!
I think early pregnancy had me more exhausted than later pregnancy! Seems strange, but I think your body is still adjusting to all the new pregnancy hormones, and especially as they increase it takes adjustment!
Pregnancy is funny. I always talk about how I LOVE being pregnant, and while I do, I always think of how icky it makes me feel! GO figure!
Now each day as I complain about how it's making me feel I keep telling my husband, I feel terrible, but I want to enjoy it SO much!
Hopefully as the 2nd trimester kicks into full gear you will feel better!
I'm sure you guys will be HAPPY with WHICHEVER gender you get, but is your hubby cheering for a boy? I can't imagine the pressure at this point!
I am so sorry; I was horribly tired the whole pregnancy with my second, I can't imagine it with 5 already, I hope it gets better for you!!
The first trimester was always tough for me--I had to pee all the time, and I could fall asleep standing up. My midwife told me when I had insomnia to actually get up and do something. If you lay in bed thinking how badly you want to sleep, you'll never all back asleep! And sweetie, you have five other children--I think you're not escaping tiredness! ;)
i recommend letting a chinese lady have your 7th ;) it does wonders for the exhaustion AND the weight gain!
So sorry. Hope you get some rest soon. Praying for you.
Just wanted to "second" the 1/2 a unisom pill. :) It's safe to take and does work wonders. :) (and combined w/ a b-vitamin, actually helps with sickness, too!) GOOD LUCK!
I have been more tired with this pregnancy than I was with my others. ...But then again, I also have more little ones to run after ;)
And sister- I hear ya on the bladder thing. Not cool. Hope you're able to find some relief. And if not... well, we'll sleep when we're 60, right? :D
oh bless... hang in there friend!
Yes unisom was what the dr suggested for me as well.
And I WELL remember the exhaustion... it was the very reason we decided we were through having babies! I could barely care for our other children!
I used to take tylenol PM... because I had trouble sleeping... this probably is not a suggestion to do... more than a comment and some sympathy!
Oh, I feel your pain! This pregnancy I'm definitely waking up more and have been since the beginning. Unfortunately, I have no words of wisdom for falling back to sleep. I have been very fortunate in this area. Hope it gets better!
You definitely have more than a few reasons to be exhausted! Reading a dull book always put me back to sleep! Hope you can rest!
Benadryl to start. If that doesn't help, you can actually take Ambien (your doctor can prescribe it for you). It is perfectly safe to take while pregnant.
Have you tried some hot chamomile tea?
Just LOVE it..... I know it always feels like forever... but it's not. I always slept dreadfully during pregnancy... it's just excruciating. Early pregnancy is exhausting.
If I was you I would just sit down when ever you can... and sleep when you can manage it. It'll be worth it in the end. I'm as jealous as I can be... I'd love to be pregnant again. *sigh :):)
first i am so excited for you. i wonder if your thyroid is working okay. that makes me tired and is a simple blood test.
as far as the gender did you know there is a test at wal greens for $35 that tells the gender. it is on my blog somewhere. a friend took it and it was correct. you can take it as early as 10 weeks
