Holiday Detox.
It's kinda like they are still running on the adrenaline from the holiday weekend, only there is not nearly as much to do.
And energy, with no outlet, equals crazy.
But I kinda like the crazy, it keeps things interesting.
So we have hung around here most of the day after deciding to not head to Ikea during naptime with a friend and our 9 kids - we'll save that special trip for later...you know, like when I need to go into labor.
We fixed some hot chocolate and broke out the Easy Bake Oven....
I realized that Ikea might have been easier when I thought the "Easy" Bake Oven was on fire for the 2nd time. It wasn't, but it sure smelled like it was!
My sweet, innocent little babes played with new toys...
stole some markers from their sisters...
and wrote on my walls...
Again.
Raya keeps walking by it and saying, "is that markers? Raya colored??" It's hard to be mad when I hear that little voice ask those questions :).
So now I'm off to fix dinner, and vacuum up the playdoh under the kitchen table - is it me or does that stuff get everywhere?? Hope you all are having a great day!

my heart jumped when I saw the "art work" on the doors. A mother's pride just isnt the same when it's on the walls, etc. Ikea might have been a better plan indeed. Have a good one. ML
haha, sounds like my life, but with 3 less kids! :)
Magic Erasers are a God send when it comes to the "Writing on the Walls". Just saying...
Bless your heart, you're a great mama! I love reading your blog. It always makes me smile.
I agree with the other Amy, Magic Erasers are nothing short of amazing when removing writing from the walls. Or wherever :)
This is completely off the topic, but what is it called when you have the main subject of your picture in focus and the stuff in the distance is all blurry? Does it require a really fancy camera or might there be a setting on my little point and shoot that could get that effect? I've always wondered...
Oh yes, the boys received some Play-Doh and have mercy -- it is EVERYWHERE. But they enjoy it so much and get so excited making their little creations that I don't half-mind vacuuming and scraping it off every conceivable surface.
Really, I just love your can-do attitude with your brood. Although, that trip to Ikea is a little scary even to me ;)
I agree with the Amy's-magic erasers are the BEST :)
Cute photos. There is never a dull moment in your house, huh? I still cant get my house straight from Christmas.
