Let's Chat About Photography (Mod Strap Giveaway!)

I like to take pictures.

I get a lot of questions about what I use, what lens is my favorite, and where on earth did you get that strap???

I'm so glad you asked. Over the next month or so I'm going to be sharing some of my favorite photography tricks, gear, and the companies that I love the most.

I'm a Nikon gal. It's all I use.

I would say my favorite lens, and the one that takes the pictures that get the most questions, is my 35 mm f/1.8G Prime Lens. This lens is simple and is the one I use to get that "clear focus, blurry background" look that everyone asks about.

I use it when I'm inside with low light and no flash...


and I use it in situations when I just want to focus in on certain little things, like a mini guitar on Lincoln's shirt :)...


The amazingly wonderful and modern strap that is on my camera right now is this one from Mod Straps...


Oh and I also have this cap saver from them as well...

    I'm a Nikon user too. Though I've never really had the option of a cannon so I love nikons by default.

    I love the black rhinestone cap saver too! Thanks for the info about the lens too. We have a nice Nikon, but have just been using the lens that came with it. Maybe I will ask DH for a new lens for Christmas. :)

    those straps are all so adorable, but since both my husband and I use the camera, I think I'd go with the green vine strap & the black rhinestone cap saver.

    I love the brown vine strap and the brown and green strap. Not sure Ralph would love them, but I sure think they're fun! We have a Nikon too, you know. ;0)
