I took the girls out for some errands today, which included a stock up session at Sam's, where a woman asked me "Why would you want more than 3 kids? What made you try again after you had the 1st set of twins?? Life is crazy enough, isn't it? And how old are you, anyway"
I told her I was 26.
Oh c'mon, she deserved a little white lie.
Ahem. I kid, I kid.
Anyway, I was stocking up on some staples - Sam's is where I buy our veggies and fruits in bulk, I freeze a lot of it. The girls go through a lot of fruit - those little bellies hold more blueberries than you could ever imagine...

I've got to figure it out - and I will. I'm determined, remember?
I will be sharing recipes along the way, so get ready :)!
I'm off to bed, the savvies will up and ready to go early in the AM!
Yummy!!! I am always looking for good recipes for the kids that I can freeze. Bring them on!

Geesh! People can be so thoughtless. Sorry about those awful comments. I guess people who say these things just don't know that those babies are an AWESOME blessing from God.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the recipes. :)
I love sams. I need to look into your blog for more freezer ideas. i do not remember where i learned this recipe but my kids love it. take a pack of grape jello (just the powder) and pour into a ziploc. pour in a pound or two of grapes and freeze. i know grapes are high sugar but it is better than popsciles
ReplyDeleteMY LANDS What a rude woman! And may I just say, I want more than 3 kids, and if I end up with twins again....I am SOO okay with it!! Although I will be lobbying for girls this time around ;)

I've been thinking about this a lot too lately... I have Mary Ostyn's (from Owlhaven blog) "Family Feasts for $75 a Week" and like to look through that for inspiration on cooking and budgeting. Oh, and I seriously LOVE going to Costco to buy food... I don't know what it is, but that place makes me happy! :) Can't wait to follow along with you during this!!
