We Have Grown

Just wanted to pop in here (for those who didn't see on Facebook), and share that we got a placement last night.

Not going to lie, it is not what we had planned, but it was made clear many different ways that this is what He wants for us. So last night at about 6pm, after a long day of praying and talking, we took in 2 little girls. They are 3 & 5.

We woke up with 6 kids and went to sleep with 8. It was a busy day.

I'm still swimming in a sea of change and the things that transpired yesterday. My mind feels scattered and I can not stop tearing up for some reason. It has been a lot to take in and there is going to be a lot more to process as we transition them into our family, for as long as He'll let us keep them.

But for right now, they are home.

We need your prayers if you feel led to do so. I will be back soon with more details and the best picture I can give you without revealing them completely. We aren't allowed to show their whole face for now, just in case you were wondering :).

They are sweet, they are mourning the past, they are getting lots of love, but like I said above, they are home.

You are your family are love saturated. I'm sure if I hugged any of you, there would be streams of it dripping onto the floor. YOUR FAMILY WAS MEANT FOR SITUATIONS LIKE THIS. You all have so much to give. I'm sure these two little girls will melt right in and be so well provided for and will heal quickly. This is not a question of IF, but WHEN.

Sending you good thoughts and well wishes.

You will be in my thoughts. I love that the ages of the children are ages you do not currently have. Like fitting together so well. Hug them tight. I wish I could contact the foster family currently keeping some kids in my distant family to tell them thank you.

Oh, Kate.
I am praying for you, for your husband, for your children (ALL of them).

This is so amazing. I've been reading but not commenting. (only because I'm lazy.)

I am so excited for this new chapter in your lives. I am SO THANKFUL for the love you are showing and sharing with those two precious girls. Words can't even describe.

We have discussed adoption. I don't think I could do foster. I think I'd just be gutted if/when the kiddos had to leave me.

You are such an inspiration. I love that you are listening to Him, being guided by Him, doing His will. You will only be blessed for that.

Can't wait to see a glimpse of your two newest treasures and hear how they came into your lives!

I am assuming that you took in sisters and I think that is great! One of my fears if my husband and I were to pass is that our kiddos would be separated. So glad that you are doing His work, even if it is under sad circumstances. Also glad that you are keeping their privacy an issue. Gossiping with the internet about their pass would surely do them no good as they grow up.

You are a remarkable woman, mother, and child of God. I may not know you personally, but of these things, I am sure.

Been praying like crazy for you guys! C & A are blessed to be a part of the Pauling crew. I'm sure that the girls are showering them with love, and Lincoln...well, Lincoln probably doesn't even notice that there are two more girls running around. ;)
