In Which I Pray That No One Throws Up In Aisle 9

It's not really the holidays here till the stomach flu takes a trip through our house.

Well that and not until the tree takes a nose dive onto the floor.

Then, you really know it's the holidays in our home!

Our tree has seen the floor a few times - and the ornaments, well, I think they've just learned to hang on for dear life.

So...

I'm doing lots of laundry, especially the sheets that have been thrown up on at 3am. Isn't that the worst? It's no fun when the kiddos are throwing up, period - but it seems SO much worse in the middle of the night! So I'm doing all kinds of laundry today...

And maybe we'll just relax and read some books or watch a movie...

But 1st I have to go to the store. I only have 3 diapers left, and we need some more tissues, hand sanitizer, and 7up. The ones who have had it seem to be better - and now we kinda wait to see if/when it strikes anyone else...here's hoping it doesn't!

So we're off to Target. If you hear "clean up in aisle 9 by the Lysol section", you'll know that's us.

Send help, and Starbucks. :)

I feel your pain! I will never forget the time Ashley threw up in the middle of night...it was horrible. I hope the girls get to feeling better soon!

Aww...

I hope today isn't too bad and I'm praying for quick recoveries for your ladies. No one wants to be sick on Christmas. :(

Oh no! I know that it is so rough to have your children sick (and no fun for them either)! I hope everyone feels better soon!

Feel better over there!!! Public vomit is the worst - I hope it stays near a toilet at home!! :)

Sending virtual Starbucks your way. :)

Ha! This made me laugh since we're right there with you! DD1 threw up in aisle 5 of the grocery store last week and since then it has gone like wildfire through our entire house. :( Hoping you made it through the trip ok without any puking episodes!!

When my youngest was a baby, he would never just spit up; he was more like a volcano! The day he was baptized I didn't feed him breakfast because I was afraid he'd erupt all over the pastor's robe!

Hope everyone is better real soon!

One twin still (yes, still) has awful reflux! He is on two adult meds daily. I feel your pain! Certain things cause the projectile stuff even with meds. The worst is cigarette smoke. We can start to head into Wal-Mart (usually) and sure enough someone will be standing in the doorway smoking! GRRRR! Thankfully I am a stout 5'9" and can pick up the 49" (49#) 4 year old and bury his head in my shoulder just long enough to duck in the door! If not....it's public mania! Projectile vomit does that in public! ;)

Hope your crew is on the mend soon!

Blessings!

Hope everyone feels better soon. Maybe the other Savvies won't get it. I really pray you don't get it either. We seem to always get the stomach bug around Christmas

Me, my husband and our one and three year old daughters all had a stomach virus this weekend. Worst weekend of my life. Ever. ever. ever. UGH!

I really have thought about buying some shares in Lysol and Germ-X during the winter seasons. :)

Did you make it out without vomit? I stupidly tried to take the kids to see Christmas lights and Nathan hurled all over the back of the van. It was awful. And then, sadly, I thought of you because I know you are dealing with the same thing right now!

Oh I just couldn't resist commenting on this. Before Thanksgiving all the kiddos in our house got sick. Well we went to the store thinking all was well, and our daughter threw up all over her dad...and mind you it was not a little it was a lot. My sweet husband didn't get mad just walked out of the store and calmly took her to the car! Just couldn't resist sharing. Hope your trip to the store went better! :)
