These Hand-Me-Downs...

Have seen a lot of playgrounds...

And crawled on a lot of floors...

Ella wore both pairs, then Reese and Char, and now Kinley and Raya...

They are my favorite hand-me-downs, I just can't let them go!

It's probably time to pack them away for good, but I think I'll let the girls wear them a few more times :).

Just today, my husband and I laughed as our little guy wore our favorite hand-me-down ... an old winter coat.

This coat was handed down to our son Gregg ... 20 years ago.

Gregg handed it down to Jeremiah.

Jeremiah handed it down to Joshua.

Joshua handed it down to Benjamin.

Benjamin handed it down to Josiah.

Josiah handed it down to Elijah.

And ... Elijah has worn it for several years.

Yes, this winter coat has been played in HARD by 7 little boys. And, the only thing broken is the zipper (but it has snaps that cover the zipper area). No rips, tears, or stains.

Truly an amazing piece of clothing.

We've been sifting through our boys' clothes over the past few weeks and I'm having the hardest time parting with some of the outfits, especially the ones I can picture all three of the boys wearing at some time or another! Sigh.

They will need to be handed down (at least) one more time. ;)

My daughter has a pair of jeans like this that we put a patch on the inside of and used the sewing machine zig zag style to put pink zig zags all around the patched up ripped up holes! That way she can wear them longer and in the winter. They were soo cute on her sister I just wanted them to last for her and the way she's growing without the patch I couldn't let her wear them in the winter when that's the time she'll be able to wear them. Soo cute though!
